Who we are

Local and owner-operated. You're not just a number.

With a big national installer, you're a ticket number, handed from a call center to a salesperson to whatever subcontractor shows up. Sunward is owner-operated and local. The same team designs your system, pulls the permits, installs it, and files your paperwork, from your first call to power-on, so you're working with the people who actually run the company, not a number in someone's pipeline.

★★★★★

"Sunward was the second company I got an estimate from, and I'm glad I did. They were cheaper than the other company, provided a system with more power, and were good to work with. We hit a few snags, as any project like this does, and they were always willing to work with the inspector or work to resolve my concerns. I'm very happy with my system."

"Sunward Power was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were responsive and quick at every step of the solar process, from design, estimating and permitting to install and follow up. The utility (PGE) inspector had a quick question and I was able to get the senior rep at Sunward on the phone immediately. The inspector was very impressed."

M. S. Google review · January 2026
★★★★★

"We had Sunward Power install a complex solar setup at our house a few years ago. … What made them stand out is the post install service they have provided. We had a micro inverter go bad after some time. We called them up and they promptly came out swapped out the bad one and fixed the issue. Very well run and the people working here are great!"

Common questions

The three things everyone asks first.

How much does solar cost?

It depends on your usage and your roof, which is why we start with a free site evaluation instead of a price sheet. Between Oregon solar incentives and financing, most homeowners swap their power bill for a similar fixed payment, and your evaluation gives you the exact number.

Do I get paid for the energy I produce?

Oregon's net metering gives you a one-to-one credit for every kilowatt-hour you send to the grid. Extra summer production banks credits against winter bills.

How long does the whole process take?

About eight weeks from signed agreement to power-on, most of which is permitting and utility scheduling. The physical install is usually done in one to two days.
