From first call to power-on

The process

It starts with a free consultation, where we design your system, build a real proposal, and check whether you qualify for financing. From there it's an on-site survey, engineering and permitting, a 1-2 day installation, and a utility inspection that clears you to power on.
About eight weeks from signed agreement to power-on. Most of that is permitting and utility scheduling, not construction. The physical install is usually done in one to two days.
We do. Engineering, permitting, utility interconnection paperwork, and incentive applications are all part of the job. You don't file anything yourself.
Costs, credits, and bills

Money

It depends on your electricity usage and your roof, which is why we don't quote from a price sheet. A free evaluation gives you a real number for your specific home and a straight answer on whether the numbers work.
The 30% federal residential solar credit ended for systems installed after December 31, 2025. Oregon homeowners still have real incentives: Energy Trust of Oregon cash rebates, one-to-one net metering, and the Oregon Solar for All program. We handle the incentive applications as part of every project.
Oregon's net metering credits you one-to-one for every kilowatt-hour you send to the grid. Your meter runs both ways. Extra summer production banks credits against your winter bills.
Homes with owned solar sell for about 4.1% more on average, per a Zillow study. Unlike a leased system, an owned system is an asset that transfers with the house.
Yes. PGE and Pacific Power have raised rates repeatedly since 2023. A solar system swaps part of that rising bill for a fixed cost you control.
Panels, production, and upkeep

The equipment

It depends on your roof. Size, pitch, shading, and orientation set the ceiling. Our design goal is a system that offsets 100% of your usage, and we'll tell you plainly if your roof can't get there.
Panels are built for 25 to 30 years of service, and they degrade slowly rather than failing all at once. Production tapers gradually over the life of the system.
Production drops in the dark months. There's no way around that. Net metering is the answer: your summer surplus banks credits that carry you through winter.
Mostly no. Oregon rain handles the bulk of it, and an occasional rinse is all they typically need beyond that.
