Solar panel repair and service in Oregon
A panel stopped producing. Your roof needs replacing. Or someone else installed your system and you need a local team to call. We handle repairs, removal and reinstall, and checkups across the Portland metro and the mid-Willamette Valley.
One local team for the life of your system.
Solar is built to last decades. When something comes up along the way, here's how we help.
Repairs and diagnostics
A panel, microinverter, or other part isn't working the way it should. We come out, find the problem, and fix it.
Systems we didn't install
Our service department keeps growing because more and more homeowners with systems from other installers ask us for help. Call us even if we didn't put it on your roof.
Remove and reinstall for a new roof
We take your panels down while the roof is replaced, then come back and reinstall the system.
Inspection and monitoring
Every system we install gets a site inspection one year after installation, and we keep an eye on its production the whole time.

Your panels come off. Then they go right back on.
Solar is expected to last at least 30 years, so there's a good chance your roof will need replacing while the panels are still producing. That's normal, and it's a job we do.
- We remove the panels before the roofing work starts.
- Your roofer replaces the roof with the panels out of the way.
- We come back and reinstall the system on the new roof.
The cost is the labor plus any parts that can't be reused. Remove and reinstall work isn't covered under warranty, so plan for it in your roofing budget.
Plan a remove and reinstallWarranty, insurance, or out of pocket.
It depends on what caused the problem. Here's how it breaks down on systems we install.
A defective panel
Covered. Panels carry a 25-year manufacturer warranty. If a panel is defective, the manufacturer provides a replacement through a local distributor, and we swap it under our warranty at no cost to you. It's rare, but it does happen.
A leak from our installation
Covered. Every install comes with a 10-year leak guarantee and a 10-year workmanship warranty. If our installation causes a leak, fixing it is on us.
A tree, storm, or other damage
Your cost, which is why we recommend adding your solar system to your homeowners insurance policy. Then if a tree lands on the roof, insurance pays for the replacement.
A roof replacement
Your cost. Removing and reinstalling panels for a new roof isn't a warranty item. You pay for the labor and any parts that can't be reused.
No maintenance schedule. We check in anyway.
The way our systems are designed and the equipment is engineered, there's no scheduled upkeep or maintenance required. We still take a few extra steps on every system we install.
- A one-year site inspection. We make sure the roof is bone dry and look over the electrical equipment. A full year gives the system all four seasons of Oregon weather, and most issues show up by then.
- Active production monitoring. We watch your system's output to make sure it's producing as expected.
- Warranties that last. A 25-year manufacturer warranty, a 30-year production guarantee, a 10-year workmanship warranty, and a 10-year leak guarantee.

"We had Sunward Power install a complex solar setup at our house a few years ago. … What made them stand out is the post install service they have provided. We had a micro inverter go bad after some time. We called them up and they promptly came out swapped out the bad one and fixed the issue. Very well run and the people working here are great!"
